FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. How much time in advance do I need to make an appointment?
From April to December: two to three weeks in advance. From January to March/April: one to two weeks in advance.
2. Where are the photos taken and how long does the shoot take?
Photo shoots are performed either in your home or on location (ie a nearby park.) They usually last between one and two hours, depending upon the attention span of the subject.
3. Can I be in the photos too?
Yes! I encourage clients to include themselves in the photos. Shoots can include the subject independently as well as together with you, so that you'll have a greater variety of images to choose from.
4. What if I have more than one pet/child?
No problem. Multiple subjects are welcome at no extra charge.
5. Are the photos in color or black and white?
Unless a specific request is made, photos are taken in both color and black and white.
6. What are your rates?
Packages start at $475.00 for shoots performed in Manhattan. For shoots performed outside of Manhattan packages start at $650.00. Package prices include all film and processing and photographic prints (number of prints based on package). A 50% deposit is due at the end of each shoot, before prints can be made. Custom packages and gift certificates are available. Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card (through the PayPal system.)
7. Can I get extra prints, in addition to the package I've purchased?
Yes!
8. What is the process after the photos have been taken?
I will get the proofs/contact sheets from your photo shoot to you within approximately one week. You choose the images that you'd like and return the proofs/contact sheets to me, along with your order form. I will then make your prints and get them back to you within three weeks. During the months of October, November and December prints will be returned in approximately four weeks.
9. Do you shoot digitally and can I get my images on disc?
Yes - I shoot with a digital camera as well as a film camera, so images can be purchased on disc or as part of a photo package.
